First let me thank you all for sticking with me.  I have just gotten so many comments this week from you and I’m glad you like it here.  I hope you stick around, because my Idol fever hasn’t come yet.  But it will, and you can bet, it’s gonna be good.

In the meantime, here’s a crime show installment of Things You Should Be Watching.  (Click here for previous entry)

Numb3rs:  Probably a lot of you just laughed at me for this.  But it’s true.  They are currently filming what could end up being the series finale (say it ain’t so, CBS!) but there are still plenty of good new episodes to come, and it has just started in syndication over these last few months.  I may be a bit jaded, since Rob Morrow is just one of my favorite people ever (I feel an entire post coming dedicated just to Northern Exposure…) BUT what sets this crime show apart is the relationships between the characters.  And, you know, the math.

The Mentalist:  We’re just about halfway through the second season, and I swear every episode continues to get better.   What you probably don’t know is that the name of this blog came directly from an episode of The Mentalist (thank you, Patrick Jane and Kimball Cho).  What sets this crime show apart from others is the same thing that sets How I Met Your Mother apart from other sitcoms – the overarching story.  You can watch one episode and be satisfied, but the background stories will keep you coming back.  For the Mentalist, it’s tragic, and Simon Baker walks the line of being carefree and deeply disturbed perfectly.  Plus, he’s pretty.  Pretty easy on the eyes, that is.

wink wink, nudge nudge

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again.  YOU NEED TO BE WATCHING CHUCK.   This is the only show I can watch by myself and still laugh out loud.  Well maybe this and The Big Bang Theory.  I’m just getting into the second season now and am more convinced than ever that this is a great show.  Watch it, love it, send me chocolates.

Happy weekend everyone, I’ll see you on Monday for our next installment of The Bachelor: On the Helicopters of Love.
