We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming… January 14, 2010

I wanted to say thanks for sticking with me through these first couple of test weeks.  I’m pretty blog-dumb, and am learning as I go.  In the days (maybe weeks) to come, it may be changing around here.  But keep coming back.   And if it looks unfinished currently, that’s because it is.  The perfectionist in me needs you to know that it will get better.  As my dad loves to tell me, “Excellence is the standard, perfection is the goal.”  Too bad that didn’t carry over into my household cleaning habits.

I’ll be adding new shows, and I will do my best to keep it fresh and interesting.  Am I missing shows?  What should I add?  I’m still a little bitter about no one telling me how awesome Chuck is, so you blog lurkers feel free to show up once and a while, and tell me what’s up.

As a sidenote – It seems a little trite to think about TV at a time like this with all that is happening in Haiti.  Through Compassion, I sponsor a child, Edson, in Haiti, and was blessed to be able to spend time there myself.  My heart is heavy for that country, and my prayer is not only for protection over those that are there, but for the rest of our country.  In a week or two, life will be pretty much the same.  Facebook statuses will be back to how much they hate snow, instead of cries for prayers; websites will bring down banners containing ways to give and replace them with companies who are willing to pay for the advertising space; and, we still stop checking for updates on relief work and go back again to finding out how long Kate Gosselin’s hair has gotten.  My prayer is that we don’t forget.  Continue to love on Haiti, even when it isn’t the popular thing anymore.

In a day or two, I’ll be posting updates on some new shows.  In the meantime, catch up on what you’ve missed, and if you like what you’re reading, tell your friends.  If you don’t, just keep to yourself.

Happy viewing!
